The kids are growing up

... at least one of them, anyway. The Older Daughter, chaoswolf, has landed a job with the Democratic Party as an annoying person who knocks on your door and asks for money a canvasser. Their office is in San Francisco, and roaringmouse and household have graciously offered crash space. I'm giving the Wolf my spare wireless router to take up as a hospitality gift. (I bought two of them on sale at Fry's, under the impression that I could put Linux on them. One is now up in the garage as a range extender; the other has been languishing in a box in the office.)

This means that one of my kids is leaving home, and even though it's not very far and the job only runs through November, it's still a milestone. I'm very proud of her; our Wolfie has not hitherto been known to be particularly adventurous. It would not surprise me much to find her staying on in San Francisco; it's a wonderful city.

Yee Gads... The Mouse's House is growing. Not only my youngun as a teenager, but her friend who is home schooled is coming down at weeks at a time for appointments with the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. So Uncle Craig will be the only human male. Estrogen Rules.. giggle
