... is 16 new preorders plus 19 bonus disks delivered to people who had either already paid or were being comped. That includes a handful of orders taken at work, at our household party, and a couple of Wednesdays.

If you've pre-ordered -- or want to pre-order -- and run into me at Westercon, I'll have disks and envelopes there.

The Bear will now take a bath and fall over. I haven't been sleeping well this week. A con this weekend is not going to help.

I can't really help that. You're lucky all you're doing is a few panels and a concert. I'm running an entire department, so don't complain about lack o' sleep. That's my job. (J/K)

Sympathies on the matter of sleeping.

I've suspected that the human ability to anticipate events may be a mixed blessing: We can avoid problems, through planning, but also can worry about many mutually incompatible possibilities.

More to the point: I hope your weekend goes well, personally and professionally.

My lack of sleep this week has been less a matter of anticipation than a wife with a mild case of the flu and a daughter who has to be at summer school by 7am.
