I finally found a Microsoft product I liked well enough to buy at Fry's today. One of the best in its class, actually.

It turns out they make really good backpacks.

I've been looking for something big enough to carry a laptop and my facehugger.

Depends on what you like in a keyboard. If you like the clickety-tank keyboard, that's fine; they *are* built like the proverbial masonry outbuilding, and as long as you have something that will adapt AT to whatever the latest keyboard plug is, you're cool. Me, I like split-ergo keyboards, and MSFT has this really nice one that's USB, complete with padded wrist rests. It comes as a set with a mouse, which I chucked in favor of my standard Logitech scroll mouse. You can get'em in wireless if you like... but I consider that a security hole.

Logitech does in general make the best pointing devices, mice or trackballs.... 'cept for tablets. If you want a tablet, Vixy's Wacom is tops. She *adores* that thing... and given the work I've seen her do on it, I can see why.

Although what I *really* want for input is a DWIM-based window manager. You know, focus follows thought? :)
