I finally found a Microsoft product I liked well enough to buy at Fry's today. One of the best in its class, actually.

It turns out they make really good backpacks.

I've been looking for something big enough to carry a laptop and my facehugger.

My pointing device of choice is the Logitech TrackMan FX -- the one with a huge ball under your fingers, and the first two buttons on the left where your thumb can reach them.

Another perfect product that's gone the way of the dodo, but I have a stash that should last me a couple more years. After that I'll have to start repairing the button switches.
