In the moment

Discovered last night that, in spite of my recent change in mood, I can still be hit by a wave of depression and despair. It was situational; the situation lasted only an hour or so and the depression only a little beyond that, but it was a little scary.

I've been alternating between OK and a little subdued today. The koi pond and a call to a friend helped a lot. Remembering, now, not so much. Go back to living in the moment, I think.

As best I can tell, _situational_ mood changes are normal, but a bit disorienting if you're used to a nice even state of depression.
