Sunday fun for the family

chaoswolf, Mayhem, and Mayhem's parents went to Ren Faire today -- apparently had a blast. She met a number of people who know us from our SCA days (which mostly ended when she was very young), and especially Colleen (Mistress Colleen Elizabeth de Cassis; joined in AS6).

Meanwhile, not wanting Emmy to feel left out, we took her to a movie. The only thing both suitable and nearby was Spy Kids II, which was a lot of fun (though there were many moments when my disbelief was insufficiently suspended, on such little matters as biological scaling laws and the energy density of rocket fuel). Some good lines, though.

Finally the four of us went out to dinner at El Torrito's, a Mexican joint that we've been going to for a long time. They seem to be going through one of their better periods; we'll have to give their brunch buffet another try sometime soon.

Hmm, Renfaire is rather like a constant nexus in a changing universe. Chris and I went on Saturday, and ran into people known from other contexts--very Inn at the End of the Universe. Hmm, hasn't chaoswolf grown up at the Inn at the End of the Universe? (I must be getting old--I went as a mundane, this time, not that my "mundane" isn't pretty far into another universe, in itself.)
