PSA: LJ crossposts failing

Recently, crossposts to Livejournal have been failing -- not every time, but often enough to be a problem. The most recent failures were

1. mdlbear | Thankful Thursday
2. mdlbear | Done Since 2020-05-31
3. mdlbear | Done Since 2020-05-10

If this fails to crosspost I'll paste it in by hand, but I'm not (currently) equipped to do that on a regular basis. I may never bother: it's not particularly complicated, but it's messy. In any case, it will have to wait until I have a command-line client that can PUT as well as POST, because I'm not about to do it by hand.

That's because LJ made everyone change their passwords last month. And that means that anybody who *didn't* remember to update their cross-posting info on DW, is causing a login failure when DW tries to post to LJ.

And since those are all coming from the same IP address (or addresses) logins from said address are being blocked for excessive failed logins.

DW needs to do *something* about this, but damned if I know what.

Maybe checking to see who hasn't changed their LJ password in their crossposting settings and telling them they need to update it. and meanwhile, use a different IP address for those of us who *have updated it
