...is skipping. They only seem to last a year or two; probably has something to do with dust. I'll go out and get a cleaning kit, but I don't expect it to help a whole lot.

Steve, Have you checked the DVD disk??? I have noticed that when my DVD skips.. it is the bloody disc not machine. I clean the disc then the DVD won't skip. My house is dustier than yours...

Of course Mindy may have destroyed our satellite box with a spray of cleaning fluid.

I'm still working on the "perfect" setup for ours; I've got a Mini-ITX box in place of a traditional CD/DVD player. I still need to hook up front-panel buttons and an LCD...

Ours is halting and making wierd noises -- has been ever since we started playing the Doctor Who vcds on it. :(
